Hey again Tim! Thanks for the heads up re T Hardy in DC - but if/when I get back down there, I'll be stopping at Brickskellers and wipe them out of their collection of the old originals! Hopefully you'll be joining in the massacre! Skoal!
I don't know how you guys become moderators but I hope you somehow work it into (a) getting paid or (b) sneaking in a tax deduction or at least (c) some free beers here and there! Love the app and hope it gets better and better (from a real beeradvocate fan). Cheers!
Haha this is sad maybe, but you call bud light cheap and I consider bud light one of my more pricier beers besides shiner bock bought in kansas.
GOT THE RIGHT IDEA TIM SEE IT TRY IT SEEANOTHER TRY IT AND IF POSSIBLE TRY THE BEST ONE AGAINAND AGAIN!
Blimey! Have you got the ideal job!? alcohol tasting!? lucky you if you have! lol
This was better than I was expecting. I found it a bit smoother and creamier than I was anticipating and overall, very drinkable.
Not nearly as hippy as I was hoping for.. Ok for a light Pils, but reminded me a bit too much of a cross between Heineken and Stella, which to me is not a good thing.
Not as lite tasting as the color would usually indicate. Has a smooth, almost warm taste that I traditionally associate with Belgian beers. If you're in DC, Marvin on 14th st has both the blonde and the brown.
I am not a fan of fruit driven beers to begin with, so I am coming from a tough spot. All in all, not the worst fruit beer I've had - I actually have a few friends that really enjoy. It's really sweet, even for a fruit beer and kind of reminds me of a bitter wine cooler.
A bit too sweet for my taste. Sweeter then the Honey Weiss or Berry Weiss, in my opinion.
Clearly you should know what you're getting into if you try this beer. Legacy's whole point in this beer is to try and cram as many hops as possible into a bottle. I tend to drift toward hoppier beers, so this is up my alley. A bit more bitter tasting than it probably needs to be, but I was actually shocked that I liked it. Would order again.
A little lighter and less hoppy than the 90 or 120 minute... a solid brew but I usually recommend spending an extra few bucks and splurging on the 90 minute.
A very solid beer that is one of the more mass produced from Allagash, so it can be found more easily outside of Maine. It's a great "drinking" beer, meaning that I enjoy it not as an accompaniment to food, but by itself.
For whatever reason, it tastes slightly more alcohol-y then either the Dubbel or the Four. It's still a very nice beer, but is behind either of those when I'm going to make a selection.
