Expect this ale to pour a glass brimming with rich caramel flavors along with an intense hop aroma that you won't soon forget. Cleanly bitter and aromatic, this ale is not for the faint of heart.
A great IPA, I wouldn't exactly put it in the American IPA or English IPA categories, but a nice hybrid. What I like most is that Hop Hearty is not just a Hop water brew, it has a nice strong malt backbone to support the hops, so at first it doesn't seem as hoppy as other IPA's but it's up there. You can find some American citrus hops in there but I find that the English hops seem to come through the most at times.
Good, not insanely hopped, but still maintains some sort of bite.
Maybe the one I tried was old or a bad batch, but it was pretty flavorless and not as hoppy as you might expect from the name.
A great IPA with a distinctive body flavor and significant hop presence.
Pours a bright orange with decent head. Smells of hops and mild sweetness. Mouthfeel is about medium, which is good because this is a very drinkable IPA; not too bitter or strong. Mine came from a 6pk picked up at the brewery.
